Morgan was featured in an informative clip Safe Sex for Men and Women that addressed AIDS prevention and education. The proceeds from the film went to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is also on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has spearheaded numerous other fundraisers for the disease and also appeared before a special Congressional committee about AIDS education. She is a member of the board of Governors of APLA and Amfar. C. Everett Koop asked her to at times take his place in AIDS events. She also hosted an AIDS Awareness Special alongside anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice for Nightline about AIDS. Morgan was nominated for an Emmy for the special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. The spring, she starred alongside Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. She then started the summer with Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. The show was also co-starring Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. The next film she was in sent her to Luxembourg for Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan has also appeared in the psychological thriller "The Leading Lady" created exclusively by USA Network. This thriller garnered the best ratings of all time for the network.
