Her first major role was Fiona Gallagher from the UK show Shameless the first two seasons. The Virgin Queen (2006), she played her role as Queen Elizabeth II. In 2015, the series From Darkness featured her as the leading role. Duff is known for her role on the television series Enigma (2002) The Magdalene Sisters French Film (2008) The Last Station Nowhere Boy Before I Go to Sleep (2014) as well as Suffragette. The actress was nominated for BAFTA Awards in Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress as well as Best Actress in Shameless The Virgin Queen. In addition to that she received the BAFTA Cymru Award in Best Actress in 2007 for her performance in the TV film The History of Mr Polly. Anne-Marie Duff has been a highly successful and award-winning English actor who created her own mark on TV, stage and on the radio. Her fame was largely due to her roles in the role of Fiona Gallagher on the British comedy drama show Shameless, and Queen Elizabeth on the television show The Virgin Queen. Anne-Marie is also a skilled stage actor, having spent over two decades of experience on the stage. She has been involved in numerous productions in The Royal National Theatre.
