Holly Hunter was an American actress who became famous due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Holly Hunter has won numerous awards and awards, among them her first Oscar for her movie Piano. Actresses have an extensive experience of performing on Broadway as well as Off-Broadway initiatives. From the time she was a child, she has been passionate about acting. She played Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school production. When she was in the fifth grade after having mumps she lost her hearing in the left ear. She did not let it stop her from performing. In her early years, she studied drama in college before moving to New York City from Pittsburgh so that she could follow her dreams. In a chance encounter she got stuck in an elevator alongside writer Beth Henley and the two worked together on the Broadway Crimes of the Heart that was Hunter's first performance. After that, she relocated into Los Angeles and tried to land movie roles. For Swing Shift, she landed the role of a back-up. Since then, she has appeared in a number of films, TV series as well as movies throughout the span of a 30 year career. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actor and was awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
