Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actress and producer. She has gained recognition for her outstanding performances in films including Broadcast News The Firm The Piano, and The Incredibles. The film Piano was awarded an Oscar. She started her career acting as an actress both on Broadway and Off Broadway. She has always had an interest in acting from the time she started school. Her debut role in a production in fifth grade was in Helen Keller. The mumps caused her to lose hearing in one of her ear, however this didn't stop the actress from pursuing her dream. When she was a teenager she studied drama, and then moved in New York City. She met Beth Henley in an elevator and they worked together on Broadway Crimes of the Heart, Hunter's first film. She made the move from New York to Los Angeles and tried to land films parts. For Swing Shift, she landed a role as a support. Her work spans over thirty years and she's appeared in many TV movies or series, as well as films. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and the Women in Film Lucy Award.
